As of February 7, 2022, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires all new CDL and HME applicants to successfully complete theory and behind-the-wheel training before they can take a state’s CDL or HME exam. The requirement is called Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT). The National Propane Gas Association (NPGA)’s Administrative Compliance Experts, also known as ACE, are designed to assist companies in navigating ELDT’s red tape, and NPGA has made this training available to MHEDA member companies.
NPGA’s ACE Services provide the ELDT training for CDL Class A/B and HME, registered with FMSCA as a training provider. They offer two different packages, and you do not need to be a member of NPGA to enroll. For more information on the program and the costs for the packages offered, please visit the NPGA ACE website.

Earning an industry award provides third-party credentialing that shows your customers, employees and suppliers that you operate with outstanding business practices.
MHEDA offers two award programs: the MVP Award for distributors and integrators, and the MVS Award for supplier and associate members. Both awards require companies to complete an application that covers key areas of business excellence, letters of recommendation, a company Give Back effort and documentation of involvement in continuing education.
The 2023 award applications are now available on the MHEDA website at www.mheda.org/awards, and the application deadline is Jan. 31, 2023. Awards are announced to the membership as they are awarded and through industry press in early 2023. This is an annual recognition program exclusively for MHEDA members.
